My desire is to help people identify and let go of obstacles/barriers holding them back from living their authentic lives. The heart of what I do is to help people find joy, peace, calm and happiness. To be happy and attuned to their true self-mind, body, heart and soul.
Hi, I’m Keisha Tanner. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I truly believe this is my calling and am passionate about helping people improve their mental health. Mind Body Heart and Soul’s vision is to transform lives, help people grow, be their authentic self and live their best life. Mind Body Heart and Soul Therapy is a place where people can heal wounds, identify and change unhealthy ways of being and thinking, strengthen their bodies, strengthen minds, heal their hearts and connect with their higher selves to achieve happiness.
My primary clients are marginalized groups and people. I serve this community because I am a marginalized person and I know the additional struggles that this can cause, in addition to everyday stressors and difficulties. I work with women of color to help them overcome barriers that prevent them from living fulfilling and authentic lives. I work with first generation Americans who struggle with cultural differences between them and their parents; emerging adults struggling with the anxiety of adulting and worries that they can be successful; parents who have lost their individual identities; LGBTQIA struggling with coming out, accepting themselves, wondering if they will be accepted by family, friends, or society; those struggling to identify their spiritual beliefs or who no longer identify with spiritual beliefs of their family/upbringing.
Counseling, Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & Psychiatric Consultation.
You know when people are going through major transitions in life such as graduating from college or becoming an emerging adult, getting married or divorced, becoming a parent or an empty nester, transitioning into a career or out of a consider?
You know how during these times people are trying to find themselves or create a new identity…Well I work with these people to help them successfully navigate those transitions and the challenges that come with them.
I offer a holistic approach focusing on the mind, body, heart, and soul. I believe the therapist is the tool for change. I counsel with compassion, care, and transparency, to create a safe space where clients feel comfortable to share and be vulnerable.
